A monster's-eye-view of heroes, fear, battle and more, as the Living Nightmare--the embodiment of fear itself--goes up against the Honor Guard, and all its secrets come to light. A story that could change the team forever. And half of them just got new costumes, too.

Meanwhile, Starfighter has been enjoying a hero's reward for decades. But with dark forces stirring in the cosmos, will he be called back to action? Or are there other paths? A look into the past, present and future of Astro City's cosmic guardian, featuring guest artist Jesos Merino. Collects ASTRO CITY #13, #22, #25, #27-28, and #31

Kurt Busiek was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He began writing comics professionally in 1982, selling stories to both DC and Marvel Comics in the same month, both of which appeared the same day. Since then, he's written series and characters ranging from Mickey Mouse to Vampirella, including Aquaman, Spider-Man, Conan, Iron Man, the Avengers and more. He is best known for the Marvels series and for his co-creation Astro City, both of which have garnered numerous industry awards. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Ann, and his two daughters. He spends far too much time on the Internet.

Astro City reminds readers just how much fun Busiek and Anderson's series can be. It was absolutely worth the wait. --COMIC BOOK RESOURCES I don't often realize how much I miss Astro City when it's gone until it comes back and sweeps me up again. --MTV The most interesting new game in town, as far as caped crusaders are concerned. --THE WASHINGTON POST A stunningly imaginative piece of work. --AV CLUB/THE ONION
