Left behind on a dying world, three children wander the broken and abandoned remains of civilisation. Katie, BB and Hat seek what little life has left for them while hiding from the other survivors who still roam the land. Scavengers pick at the bones and ruins of the world. Soldiers seek to maintain control and order in the automated remains of the city. A ragtag militia of survivors and bitter revolutionaries, bent on overthrowing any remnants of the old political powers. One last daring gamble set these desperate few on a collision course, but how much are they prepared to risk for the chance to hope?

A gripping sci-fi adventure that explores themes of hope, friendship and fatalism, Orphans is the debut novel from Sydney author, Dan Prior.
