A small town in Ireland, a chilling mystery, a teenage detective - and a message from the dead After months of misery and feeling ready to end it all, Aidan Flood wakes up one morning to find that local beauty and town sweetheart Slaine McAuley has done just that. Aidan suddenly discovers a new sense of purpose and becomes determined to find out what happened to her. The town is happy to put it down to suicide, but then one night Aidan gets a message, scratched in ice on his bedroom window: 'I didn't kill myself.' Who is contacting him? And if Slaine didn't end her own life ... who did?

Dark and eerie, this is the perfect noir read. * Woman's Way * I'm no young adult, but really enjoyed this. It's full of tension and intrigue, and grips from the word go. It cleverly combines the supernatural with important teenage themes. Aidan is a good hero: cool, bright, real. You don't want to stop reading. It'd be no surprise if this becomes a series - I hope so. * Irish News * A thrilling murder mystery with a supernatural edge... Aidan is intelligent, witty and relatable. As a standalone novel it works perfectly well but that's not to say I don't want more - there's a lot more to come in Aidan and Slaine's story. * Requiem for Readers * A captivatingly dark read, which is impossible to put down. * Image *
