Imagine a future in which, instead of terraforming planets to sustain human life, explorers of the solar system instead transform themselves.

*FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR* Adriane is one such explorer. As an astronaut on an extrasolar research vessel, she and her fellow crewmates sleep between worlds, and wake up each time with different features. Her experience is one of fluid body and stable mind, and of a unique perspective on the passage of time. Back on Earth, society changes dramatically from decade to decade, as it always does. Ariadne may awaken to find that support for space exploration back home has waned, or that her country of birth no longer exists, or that a cult has arisen around their cosmic findings, only to dissolve once more by the next waking. But the moods of Earth have little bearing on their mission: to explore, to study, and to send their learnings home.

Carrying all the trademarks of her other beloved works, including brilliant writing, fantastic world-building and exceptional, diverse characters, Becky's first book outside of the Wayfarers series is sure to capture the imagination of readers all over the world.

PRAISE FOR THE WAYFARERS 'Becky Chambers is a wonder, and I feel better for having her books in my life' JOHN CONNOLLY 'Explores the quieter side of sci-fi while still wowing us with daring leaps of imagination' iBOOKS 'So much fun to read' HEAT 'This is a superb work from one of the genre's rising stars' PUBLISHERS WEEKLY 'The most fun that I've had with a novel in a long, long time' iO9

The best speculative fiction currently being written . . . Becky Chambers is a wonder, and I feel better for having her books in my life. - John Connolly on Record of a Spaceborn Few Richly human, believable [and] compelling . . . underlain with a deep compassion and a feeling for community - Tor.com on Record of a Spaceborn Few Terrific. . . a masterly exploration of characterisation and diversity wrapped in intensity, heartbreak and tension - Joanne Harris on Record of a Spaceborn Few An intensely powerful and multifaceted meditation on time, history, change, and memory, leavened with a welcome touch of humor . . . This is a superb work from one of the genre's rising stars - Publisher's Weekly on Record of a Spaceborn Few This novel was exactly what I hoped it would be and more . . . Moving in what feels like small personal ways but is actually big, universal ways and it is uplifting on the same scale - Forbidden Planet on Record of a Spaceborn Few
