GALAXY BOOKSELLER PICK ----- Once again, Suzanne McLeod shows us what a gifted, sneaky, evil author she is. Even though she's already introduced every element involved in the book's climax, she still manages to pull it all together in unpredictable ways. You might think you know where it's heading, but then McLeod pulls the rug out from under your feet by taking the plot in a different direction that manages to surprise, even though she's already laid the groundwork for it.

 

Each book is bigger and better than the last as Genny develops as a character and maintains her autonomy. With strange magical cases to solve, the overreaching plot arc linking the fae's lost fertility to Genny's ongoing independence, romantic entanglements, interesting characters, British flavour and tight pacing, this series is a must-read for urban fantasy fans.
