Search Tips
Our search has the following Google-type functionality:
+ (addition symbol)
If you use '+' at the start of a word, that word will be present in the search results.
eg. Harry +Potter
Search results will contain 'Potter'.
- (minus symbol)
If you use '-' at the start of a word, that word will be absent in the search results.
eg. Harry -Potter
Search results will not contain 'Potter'.
AND
If you use 'AND' between 2 words, then both those words will be present in the search results.
eg. Harry AND Potter
Search results will contain both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
OR
If you use 'OR' between 2 words, then either or both of those words will be present in the search results.
eg. 'Harry OR Potter'
Search results will contain just 'Harry', or just 'Potter', or both 'Harry' and 'Potter'.
NOT
If you use 'NOT' before a word, that word will be absent in the search results. (This is the same as using the minus symbol).
eg. 'Harry NOT Potter'
Search results will not contain 'Potter'.
" " (double quotation marks)
If you use double quotation marks around words, those words will be present in that order.
eg. "Harry Potter"
Search results will contain 'Harry Potter', but not 'Potter Harry'.
* (asterisk)
If you use '*' in a word, it performs a wildcard search, as it signifies any number of characters. (Searches cannot start with a wildcard).
eg. 'Pot*er'
Search results will contain words starting with 'Pot' and ending in 'er', such as 'Potter'.

Overseas
Abbey's delivers worldwide via Australia Post. See our Delivery Charges.
If an order is shipped to a delivery address outside of Australia, GST is not charged.
Payments
Abbey's does not accept cash for online payment. We accept no responsibility for the theft, loss or non-delivery of mailed cash.
Delivery
Items displayed as "Usually ships within 24 hours" are dispatched within 1 business day.
Delivery times are the estimated time the items will leave our premises including processing times. Orders placed on holidays or weekends are processed on the next business day. Once we lodge items with Australia Post, Abbey's accepts no responsibility for lost or delayed packages, however we will endeavour to track your order where possible. If your delivery is delayed, please contact us or check your local Australia Post office.
Items displayed as shipping later than 24 hours
Abbey's estimated delivery timeframes are based on information from suppliers. While we make every effort to ensure they are accurate, we cannot allow for unforeseen events.
By placing an order online, you agree not to hold Abbey's liable for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising out of, or in connection with, any delay or failure to deliver within our estimated delivery timeframes.
Libraries and Schools

We offer free gift-wrapping. You have the option to add a free UNICEF gift tag or Abbey's gift tag (free) and to include your message to the recipient.
